You won't tell :)
"It's not only children who grow. Parents do too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours. I can't tell my children to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it, myself." -Joyce Maynard

"Nursing" Sophie
For the last couple of days you've been pretending to nurse various things, especially Sophie, like I nurse Riley. I tried to get a picture of you relaxed as you nursed Sophie with her wrapped in your blanket but that didn't work out so well. So, we ended up with this one. Gives you the idea though!

Life Can Be Difficult
Life can be difficult. I'm so glad you have your brother to share the struggles with. Your Dad and I love both of you so much.
But, sometimes things are beyond the limits of our own understanding. Sometimes we try to push ourselves into situations that aren't the best for us because we have fear. It's hard to be honest. Sometimes the only honest course of action is to turn away from our fear and turn towards love. Sometimes we love people for who they are but that doesn't mean they are the right person for us or that we are happy in our given situation. Sometimes it's necessary to separate our roles as "spouse" and "parent."
For me, that is where your Dad and I are. I love him for who he is. But, that doesn't mean he and I are good for each other. I try to recognize my own limitations and don't pretend to know what is best. I'm sorry our road is going to be rough. I'm sorry I can't make it work with your Dad. But, my only honest course of action is to love you and your brother, love your Dad for who he is, love myself and move forward.
I'm grateful for the time your Dad and I have spent together and extremely grateful that we were able to bring you and your brother into this world. I thank both of you for your loving smiles and typically cheerful dispositions. I know your Dad loves you both very much as well. That will never change regardless of our family dynamics!
